GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

CHRISTMAS CHEER

Spread Christmas cheer by helping provide essential items to children in our community this holiday season.

HOW TO HELP:

  • SPONSOR A CHILD: When you sponsor a child, you’ll shop for items they truly need, such as clothing, bedding & shoes from a wish list they completed. Sponsors are asked to spend $75 to $100 on each child that they sponsor. The number of sponsors needed depends on the number of applications that are submitted. CLICK HERE TO SPONSOR
  • PURCHASE ALDI GIFT CARDS: In addition to essential gifts, each family will also receive Aldi gift card(s) for a special holiday meal. Please bring $25 Aldi gift cards to the office during the week or to the Connect Center by December 3.
  • DONATE FINANCIALLY: Want to help but not able to shop? Donate financially to cover the cost of Aldi gift cards or to sponsor a child. CLICK HERE TO MAKE A DONATION
  • VOLUNTEER TO HELP: Volunteers are the heart & soul of the program. Volunteers are needed to help with gift prep on December 3, 4, & 8, and gift distribution on December 9, 10, & 11, as well as potential shoppers. SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER
  • SHARE: If you or a family you know is in need this Christmas season, & they live in Elk River/Big Lake/Otsego, please reach out to Kirsten Gill at kirsten.gill@clcelkriver.org DEADLINE: NOV. 19

We appreciate your generosity and care for the families in our local community.

  • Donate money to cover the package postage
  • Writing a note of thanks (Christmas cards provided)

Our Military Ministry will also be collecting items for our homeless veterans in the St. Cloud area.

HOW TO HELP:

  • Drop off NEW socks, hats, mittens, scarves and flannel shirts on Sunday morning or in the office during the week.

OPERATION HELP A VILLAGE

Operation Help a Village has raised money for a goat (actually several animals), helped to build a well, built infant kits for mothers, assembled Hospice Kits for elderly in Tanzania, and purchased a school bus for students in Tanzania.

Since 2009, our church has partnered with students in Tanzania through sponsorships. This year, we’re excited to help our Tanzania Student Sponsorship Program breathe new life into that tradition!

MORE INFORMATION TO COME IN DECEMBER

POINSETTIA IN HONOR OR MEMORY OF A LOVED ONE

Each Christmas Eve, Central creates a tree made out of poinsettia plants. These plants are in honor or in memory of loved ones in our congregation.
