Guys you have heard the saying Men Plan God Laughs! I was chosen to write for the R in the SERVANT acrostic - Read the Bible Daily. I don't do a very good job in this regard, yet in the concept of being a Servant, where can we get the wisdom and ideas but from God's Word?
As I read the Bible, God speaks to my daily life and puts out there the many shortcomings I have in my life. It provides a strength and a guide to who's I am and what he wants me to do. I use to be a prayer and sermon man, and that was plenty. Today our leaders have us reading from the Bible during worship and this adds so much to our worship.
I don't know if Joshua read the Bible daily. I think he did and he said "As for me and my household we will serve the Lord". That is my plan with God's help and I have a great Chrisian wife to help keep me on the straight and narrow.
Pray for me guys as I tackle this number one priorty in my life. I can't do it alone but with your prayers and encouragement, and God's love and grace, I will get that daily reading stuff done. Hope this doesn't take me off the Servant list!

Each week people meet together for a meal, a talk on topics such as "Who is Jesus?", "Why Did Jesus Die?", "How Can I be Sure of My Faith?", and "Does God Still Heal Today?" , followed by small group interaction. There is an optional one-day retreat, which focuses on the person and work of the Holy Spirit.
