Alex depends only on his grandfather for any support. His grandfather lives off of a small garden area. Until recently, Alex did not know that he had no father, assuming his grandfather was his father. His grandfather told him a few days before we interviewed Alex. He and his grandfather are the only ones living at the house and they seemed very close to one another. Alex is in his 2nd year of secondary school and would benefit from any type of help.

This picture was taken in the room that Alex lives in. He lives in the house of his grandfather. He has lived here since he can remember. Alex’s mother died while she was giving birth to him. After he was born, the father left. They do not know where he is and he does not support Alex in any way.
Chores: He helps with washing clothes and sometimes going to help at the garden.
Favorite school subject: English and Physics
Hobbies/interests: He likes to play soccer.
Future goals: He wants to be a doctor because he feels compassion for those who are sick. He also wants to be one because his mother died in the hospital and he wants to help cure people. |
