Anna’s father died a few years ago of HIV/AIDS. Because of this, it is likely that her mother has also passed away. Her aunt and uncle do some small business and a little bit of farming. From the little bit they make off that, they use some of it to help support Alia. She has been doing better since they have taken her in. Alia is in her 6th year of primary school.
.jpg) This is a picture of Alia’s bedroom. It looks as if she shares it with another person. She lives in the house of her aunt and uncle. She lives there because her father and mother are not there for her. Her father died while here in Tanzania with her. They had just moved from Zambia without her mother. Because of this, she does not know if her mother is alive or not.
Chores: She helps out with some small activities around the house.
Favorite school subject: Science and Swahili
Hobbies/interests: She likes to play netball.
Future goals: She would like to become a doctor. She wants to take care of people so they will not lose their lives.
