Parents,
It’s hard to believe it’s that time again. We are entering into fall, a new school year, and a new year of programming for Children and Family Ministry. As parents, you are the greatest influence in the faith life of your children. We look forward to partnering with you to provide a positive, Christian learning experience for your child; both at home and at church. We expect you to support the program by volunteering in at least one of the areas listed on the Volunteer Sign-Up Sheet to make our program a success. You can volunteer every week, every other week, once a month or occasionally. We encourage you to make regular worship attendance, Children’s Chapel and/or G2K a priority for your family’s week.
Please register your child in the church office or online by September 14, 2011. Children’s Chapel goes year-round, so that does not have a specific start-up date—we look forward to having your children join us every week. Our new Sunday evening G2K programming will begin on Sunday, September 25.
Sunday evenings just got better! We will be offering dinner every Sunday from 5:15-6:00 pm. In order to offer this meal, we ask for families to contribute $2/person or $10/ max per family per meal. Please understand our meal donations need to cover the cost of the meals. We also know that some families will not be able to financially support this meal. If you are able, please support the meal with a little extra when you can.
If you have any questions about Children and Family Ministry at Central Lutheran Church, please contact Kirsten Gill. Our staff is happy to be here to support and encourage you and your child/ren in their faith development.
Blessings to you and your family ~ we look forward to our growing partnership!

Sponsoring a child through Central provides education, school uniforms, supplies and food for orphans and semi-orphans in our sister congregations of Kibena and Matingajola in Southern Tanzania.
Each week people meet together for a meal, a talk on topics such as "Who is Jesus?", "Why Did Jesus Die?", "How Can I be Sure of My Faith?", and "Does God Still Heal Today?" , followed by small group interaction. There is an optional one-day retreat, which focuses on the person and work of the Holy Spirit.
The goal of Financial Peace University is not just information—we're looking for transformation. More than one million familieshave attended FPU with amazing results. On average, they pay off $5,300 in debt and save $2,700 in just 90 days.
