Camp Onomia is definitely one of the best summer camps that you can experience and we can’t wait to infuse you with the love of Jesus! Our youngest campers will enjoy getting a taste of camp without being away from home too long. We’ll keep them very busy and they’ll have a blast!
Our older kids will love having a full week away from the “I’m Bored” syndrome—we’ll be prepping them for battle with God’s Word and packing their days full of fun games, crafts, campfires, and making new friends!
Led by Paul Johansson, Kirsten Gill, Sonja Knutson, & Winston Peterson —your kids will feel secure at camp being surrounded by adults and leaders that know them, love them, and desire to develop their relationship with Christ. There will be lots of Crazy FUN with this crew all Armored in God’s love.
On Sunday, June 24 we’ll be kicking off the week at Camp Onomia with a family gathering. Camp check-in will be from 3-5 pm. You are welcome and encouraged to be here early to spend some time as a family checking out the camp, swim, fish, go on a nature walk—then at 5:15 we’ll gather in the dining hall to enjoy dinner together. At 6:00 counselors and leaders will whisk the kids off for fun and games and parents will depart for home. Camp will end on Tuesday, June 26 for our Pioneer Campers and Friday, June 29 for our Explorer Campers. We will end both camps with a family worship experience that starts at 11:30 am and ends with a lunch together. Campers will depart camp by 1:00 pm.
Transportation
Parents are responsible for transporting children to camp. You are certainly welcome to do some ridesharing or bring other kids with you. If you need some help coordinating rides, please let Kirsten Gill know. We will provide rides home Tuesday & Friday but parents are welcome to pick up and be a part of the closing worship and lunch.
Volunteers
We are in need of volunteers to help in a variety of areas. Camp counselors, nurses, recreation, musicians, lifeguards, and crafts. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to volunteer. Contact Kirsten Gill for more information.

Each week people meet together for a meal, a talk on topics such as "Who is Jesus?", "Why Did Jesus Die?", "How Can I be Sure of My Faith?", and "Does God Still Heal Today?" , followed by small group interaction. There is an optional one-day retreat, which focuses on the person and work of the Holy Spirit.
