      Central Family,

      We are on a journey!

      Thank you to the many ministers of Central who have written the Joshua devotionals that will guide us in this journey. To the readers of these devotionals I pray that you will have the same experience as Cleopas and his friend on the journey to Emmaus:

      “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the scriptures?” Luke 24:32

      At Central we are Mapping Our DNA by going Back To the Basics – we are returning to the basic story of Scripture. We are not focusing on programs and institutional growth but focusing on mentoring spiritual practices and habits within the body. Instead of trying to get people involved “in church,” the focus is on helping people follow Christ as he leads us on a journey that none of us have ever gone on before. Please pray for your Council and Staff as they seek to be led by the Spirit of God in their leadership.

      I hope these daily devotionals will help you stay centered in Christ as we follow him in the days, weeks, months and years to come.
