Wednesday Prayer Service Midweek prayer services will begin on Wednesday, September 22. The services will be held each week in the sanctuary from 6:30-7:00 p.m. Pastor Leon Stier will begin each service with a lesson on prayer. He will then lead everyone in a time of prayer, drawing on Biblical, classic, and contemporary prayers to guide us in our own silent, personal prayers. You will not be called on to pray out loud-- only to pray in your own heart as led and guided by words from some of the great prayers of the past. Children learn to speak by hearing others speak. We can learn to pray by hearing how others have prayed, and by making those prayers our own.
Holy Communion
Holy Communion will be celebrated at the 8:00 and 11:00 services on the first, third and fifth Sundays of the month and celebrated at the 9:30 services on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Communion will be celebrated the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. The bread and wine distributed during communion has high significance for Christians: it is the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. All who belong to the Lord are welcome at the Lord’s Table.
Infant and Adult Baptisms
Infant and Adult Baptisms are celebrated at non-communion worship services.
Gluten-free Wafers
Those who are in need of gluten-free wafers can stop by the sacristy and receive wafers for communion distribution. Wafers are available each Sunday behind the sanctuary either individually or by the baggie. |

At Central, we believe that when God calls us to worship He doesn’t exclude anyone! We realize that sometimes little ones have needs that we’d like to help families meet so we have the following things that we have put into place to assist families as they worship with their children. We also feel that it is appropriate to offer age appropriate learning for our children. While parents are focused on the message, children explore the same bible story at their own level of understanding. Each week there are age-appropriate focus questions written in the worship folder for families to extend their worship experience into some great family discussions. Children’s Chapel (3 year olds—5th grade) Children’s Chapel is available at the 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 am Sanctuary services on Sunday mornings. Children are dismissed during worship with their families prior to the sermon. Through singing, skits and small group discussions, children experience the same Bible lesson that their parents are focusing on through the sermon. Children with Special Needs We want to provide children with special needs the necessary support that they need to grow their faith. A team of loving adults can be arranged to help support you and your child so that you can enjoy your worship experience. Please contact us if you would like more information. Nursery (Birth—2 years) Childcare is provided for all of our Sunday morning worship services and for many of our adult education classes. If you are a family that utilizes the nursery, please consider helping in the nursery once a month/quarter. Worship Activity Bags Worship activity bags are available for your children to use during the onsite worship services. They are located in two locations just outside the Sanctuary. |
