We will be planning a Day of Prayer coming up this summer. This is a 9-6 style day of quiet and solitude. Time to sit and listen to God and dedicate that time to communication with him, reading the bible and learning more about him. We will also throw in some instruction time for learning "how to" do a semi silent retreat.
Central women have done sseveral semi silent retreats with amazing results. They are not scary, dangerous, weird or any of the things you may think. They are energizing and exciting. Great things can happen when you dedicate time to listening to God, rather than the prayers thrown to him precariousaly throughout the day. You can hear some answers, if you be still and listen. |
